🎻 Strings family
Viola
🔊 How it makes sound
Played just like the violin, with a bow and fingers, but it is a little bigger with thicker strings.
🎼 Range and clef
Open strings C, G, D, A, a 5th lower than the violin. Reads the alto clef.
🎨 Its timbre colour
Warm, dark and velvety, like hot chocolate.
Timbre is the "colour" of a sound, the idea from Lesson 0. A violin and a flute can play the same note, but you can still tell them apart!
