Instead of valves, the player pushes a slide in and out to make the tube longer or shorter.
🎼 Range and clef
Low to middle notes. Reads bass and tenor clef.
🎨 Its timbre colour
Big and bold, but it can also be soft and warm. It can slide between notes!
Timbre is the "colour" of a sound, the idea from Lesson 0. A violin and a flute can play the same note, but you can still tell them apart!
